Have you missed us?

Looky here...
This passed week it rained. This guy wasn't quite ready for it...

I logged my work phone into "break" for fifteen minutes ready to walk laps around the building, when I got through the front doors it was pouring rain at my feet. I didn't mind it though. The rain has cooled this state down and the change in the season is coming. It's actually here. And I am happy about that. I have worn three scarves and my beanie already. I've been looking for pumpkin recipes and fall decorations for the house. And I have used my corn bag to keep my feet warm. I'm definitely loving fall. Summer was fun while it was here, but how many more days did I have to sweat?

Zach and I have been lounging at home whenever we have had down time together. We make dinner together, play Settlers of Catan, watch Extreme Weight Loss and New Girl together, and we rub each others feet. Maybe you think that's gross, but it feels phenomenal. We have planned a few things that are making our lives even more eventful as well.

For instance, I got a cavity filled and got my hair did. That was pretty exciting for me, hence I always work.

Last week we went to the Utah State Fair. It was pretty fun! The four of us ate funnel cake and other over priced foods and watched a "magicians" kid show. He even called my husband up to participate, calling him "the guy that looks like a lumber Jack". It was funny, Zach was laughing the whole time. The magician was having four adults make a human table/chair by them leaning onto each other. You have probably seen it before, it was just funny to see Zach do it. The guys and Lauren also tried out some military pull-ups and got themselves a poster. I'm so proud of their strength. Again, the fair was fun and we did the traditional fair activities. It wasn't the same as LA fair and especially not being with my parents. But it was good to be in the little sun that we had left. Enjoy some pictures.

Friday night we invited our Sunday school class over for a little pizza party. The boys were too cool to come, or just busy. I got home from work early and made homemade ice cream, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and pizza dough. The girls were so cute and so excited. They even brought treats that they made. We love our class and their spunky and unique personalities. We played games and sang songs. They are the coolest kids on the block!

Shayla, Abi, Sara!

The creative lego game!
And their yummy little pizzas
Soon we will be building ginger bread houses with these ladies, and we can not wait! They are the best.

Lauren and Hector played another soccer game and this time we were their cheerleaders. It was fun to watch them. We live across the street from an indoor soccer field and they signed up for a coed team. They seem to like it, it's fun to watch at least. Plus, they won!

Recently Zach has been rock climbing at our gym. He went out with his buddy who is a very decent climber. They went to a site in the mountains and enjoyed a Saturday there. Since then Zach has been practicing, challenging, and enjoying climbing all the walls at the gym. I'm excited that he is developing a strong like for this sport. It's not something I would have ever thought about doing, but I have joined him just a few times and it's really loads of fun! We will be going again this next week. Try it out sometime, get your muscles burning.

Story Time...
We often say, "I'd do anything for (so and so)"....for him or her, your husband or sister. Whoever. I'm one that definitely would do anything for Zach, I love him and want him to trust that I would always be there for him. Sometimes it's a favor that we do, or we show our support by being there for them and not judging them. It could be something completely meaningful or not so much. WELL last Christmas, the same night that Zachary Walton tricked me in front of my whole family thinking that the ring box I was opening was an engagement ring but actually was a ring for my dad (jerk)...yes that night I had picked out and wrapped Zach's first Nike running shoes. We had started running together at that time and he had never owned a pair a running shoes. Shocking! Anyways I surprised him with his first pair of bright blue Nike Frees. He loved them and has ran many many miles on them. Nowadays he has been playing racquetball at school and has been taking them to school with him for his class. He also takes the train to and from school. On the way home from his long day he gets tired and forgetful...See where I'm going with this? I got a text at work two weeks ago asking, "Have you seen my Nike's anywhere?" I listed places for him to look for them, like maybe they were in the closet where they belong? He replied to me saying that they weren't anywhere and that he believed he left them on the train two days before. Of course I instantly felt bad for him. It's no fun to lose your items, and ones that you really use and enjoy. He was sad and I was eager to find them. I called three lost and founds at the different stations. On the third one I described the shoes, obnoxious bright blue with bright orange highlights size thirteen. And believe it or not the city of Ogden had the shoes! What a relief I tell you. My next thought was, Where is Ogden? Oh that's right...I sat TWO hours in my car after an eight hour shift on a Friday driving to north Ogden to get a pair of shoes. Two hours. Once I arrived at the station it took less then forty seconds for me to be on my way home. All for a pair of shoe.

I'd do anything for him? I really know that I would. How easy would it have been to just buy a new pair of shoes, less sentimental pair, but a brand new pair. Save on gas, enjoy my time off work, and most importantly my sanity. I sure do love my husband, and I would have probably driven four hours for his shoes if that was the case. We do silly things sometimes.

I love you Zachary. And your shoes.

It is definitely for adults as well as kids, and the more people the better! It's called Lego Creationary. fun fun fun. Our husbands have the love for legos in common! Talk to you soon ;)
