Our Maternity Shoot

My talented sister-in-law suffered through the freezing cold with us to do our maternity pictures. Let me tell you being pregnant in the winter has its pros and cons, the main pro is not swelling and feeling like a fireball. The main cons are slipping on ice while walking and driving, terrifying! Zach almost carries me everywhere and with every step I take. I have fallen once on ice, so we were careful during this shoot. We went up to Provo Canyon for these pictures, and it was so pretty! I would post all of them but there's a lot, here our some of my favorites! I'm 31 weeks pregnant in these, only weeks to go!

Telling Zach our big news!

JUNE 13---

It was early in the morning when I drove Zach to the train station to head off to school when I felt a little different then usual. I had been extremely tired the last couple days and made the decision to see if I was possibly pregnant. After several positive tests I took that morning, I was in such shock! Happy tears ran down my face, I thought of how and when to tell Zach, what about the new job I was going to start, if we could afford another person to care for...all the emotions came over me, but most of all I was so excited!! The next day I was taking pictures of my brother and sister-in-law for their own baby announcement. Keeping my secret was so difficult! On the way home from provo canyon I asked them if I could tell them something, then I said the happy words, "I'm pregnant!" They were so excited and asked if Zach knew, they said I had to tell him asap. So we thought up an idea and went with it. When we arrived back at my place Zach was home, I grabbed my camera and a chalkboard and asked him if we could let Mary practice a few poses on us. Of course he was oblivious and said yes...he's always patient when I ask him to be my model, so he was used to it. SO we headed out to a green grassy area of our apartment complex and just took some "random" shots for Mary to "practice" He had no idea what was to come....and then finally he saw the sign and his reaction was priceless.

(Some of these are blurry, but I'm so happy for the memory of this moment!)

And yes it was it SHOULD be "you're" but I was so caught up in the moment!

This sweet guy cried like a baby...

He kept asking me, "are you serious?!" and then he'd laugh and say, "oh my gosh!!!"

Zach's hopes and bet for our due date is February 29, 2016 (it's leap year)

Our Exciting News!

My sister-in-law Mary did our announcement shoot yesterday!! Finally at 15 weeks we've decided to tell the world of our exciting news! We can't wait to meet this little one of ours!
